The Aligned·By·Design Model enables educators to implement the comprehensive aligned instructional system model and easily specify, maintain, benchmark and revise precise, sequential, and fine-grained content standards.  The resulting ‘high-definition’ standards are knowledge-centric and in perfect alignment with instructional curriculum and assessments. 

The resulting content standards are teachable and measurable because they define and communicate exactly what students need to know and do for proficiency, taking the teacher ‘guesswork’ out of classroom instruction.    The detailed content knowledge defined by the standard is clearly referenced, and those specifications are mirrored by the assessment.  

The Model gives educators the ability to ensure that teachers and curriculum developers can validate if, and where, the specific content knowledge and skills detailed in their lesson plans are covered by, and aligned to, the standards and assessment.
