About Us
An urgent commitment to solve the systemic problems impeding school and
classroom performance success and restore our nation’s prominence in academic
achievement unifies and drives the
Aligned·By·Design Initiative. It is supported by a dedicated, expanding group
of teachers, state, district and school administrators, parents, policy, civic
and business leaders and concerned citizens.
The
Initiative is a national education leadership call-to-action to restore our
nation’s global prominence in academic achievement. Empowered by the
breakthrough Aligned·By·Design Model,
it affirms an unprecedented opportunity for the education community to eliminate
systemic problems, and the interrelated challenges, blocking standards-based
education progress.
Initiative
supporters believe that every
student can graduate from high school prepared to succeed in
the global workforce and that real, sustainable improvements in student
achievement can happen.
They have joined the
Initiative and support its commitment to
provide every student access to a world-class education by September 2014.
The
Initiative calls on, and
enables the education community
to:
-
Eliminate the systemic problems
now blocking improved student achievement
-
Ensure that every student is taught in a high-performance,
knowledge-centric classroom
-
Restore U.S. students to the top rank on international assessments in
math, reading and science
The
Aligned·By·Design
Model
was developed to solve systemic student achievement problems. It was
created by a diverse team of education leaders, teachers, system engineers,
software designers and other professionals who shared a commitment to find a
practical and scalable solution to the systemic teaching and learning problems
inhibiting student learning progress. It was the result of an in-depth,
multi-year investigation and analysis of classroom and system performance
challenges. These problems run wide and deep, but after almost seven years of
research, analysis, testing and design work, the
Aligned·By·Design
team, working with our technology partner SundRy Education, LLC, developed their
breakthrough solution.
We are grateful for the many individuals who took
